Introducing the Velocity $5K Finalists for Fall 2015!
Before our ten $25K finalists pitch for $25K prizes at the Velocity Fund Finals on Thursday, November 26, ten teams will pitch in the $5K competition. The audience and a panel of judges from the local investor community will choose which pitches earn one of three $5,000 prizes.
To earn a spot at the Velocity Fund Finals $5K competiton, teams pitched at one of two Velocity Fund $5K Qualifier nights this past week. We are pleased to announce these 10 finalists:
Bioflex
BioFlex Implant seeks to fix common issues with intramedullary implants by using biodegradable polymers to create flexible intramedullary nails for pediatric orthopedic surgery. This solution will be temporary, thus only requiring one surgery, and will gradually transfer the load bearing duty back to the healing bone strengthening it during its recovery.

Comii is changing the commentary experience in major league sports by allowing people like you and I to listen or provide real time commentary from within the community.
EZBot
EZBot is developing a robotics platform that is able to control a variety of hardware components through Bluetooth.
Finuvo is developing an automated painting station to enable hobbyists and designers to create visually stunning parts by applying a variety of colours and patterns to the surface of them. Purpose-built for smaller parts such as 3D printed parts, the Finuvo system can create realistic looking prototypes and attractive end-use products.
