Fall 2022 Velocity $5K winners share desire to innovate. Excitement permeated the packed room as eight finalist teams made their last effort to convince a panel of judges that their business idea was deserving of one of four $5,000 awards at Velocity’s $5K pitch competition.

Velocity has had a remarkable evolution since our start in 2008. With a global network of founders and alumni, Velocity is rapidly growing! Today we are working with a broad range of startups that span software, deep tech, and health tech. Companies in each of these areas require different guidance and resources and therefore leaders within Velocity with matching expertise.

Velocity is growing! We are looking for exciting individuals to join our team and help advance our mission: a Senior Manager of Velocity Science, Director of Software Startups and Director of Deeptech Startup.

With a wide range of experience and ideas, twenty-two student teams pitched their business ideas in the hopes of moving on to Velocity $5K pitch competition finals — and eight made the cut. Over the course of two nights on November 9th and 10th, each team had one representative pitch to convince the judges that their idea had enough traction to succeed.
