We have created a "smart luggage": A suitcase that solves the issues with checked luggage and puts the power back in the hands of the owner/user. This luggage contains integrated sensors and software that interfaces with your mobile device to accurately track the location of luggage, distance from user, weight of luggage, shock events (potentially damaging to the items inside) and opening events (to reduce theft of items). The luggage interfaces with the user's mobile device, where they would insert their travel itinerary, and uses the collected data to ensure that it is transported safely and smoothly to the proper destination.
