Equity in Entrepreneurship Council
Call for applications
Velocity intends to be a game-changing venture-building space for all remarkable founders including those who identify with women, non-binary, racialized, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
We are recruiting our first Equity in Entrepreneurship Council to discuss priority areas and take actions needed to ensure equitable start-up supports for founders of all identities.
The commitment is on average 2-3 hours per month for a) meetings and b) to take actions needed to make justice, equity, diversity, and inclusivity in entrepreneurship a reality.
Anyone who has founded, worked, or engaged with start-ups previously is eligible to apply.
Eligible candidates need not be from the Velocity or University of Waterloo ecosystem. Note that preference is given to individuals who have lived experience with these topics. If you have any questions about the Equity in Entrepreneurship Council please email the Velocity Incubator Director.
